New Kid Designs

This is a blog I started to show what I have been up to with my Graphic Design business. I design under the name "New Kid Designs". This is just a name, that first came to mind, that sounded perfect at the time I started. I grow more with each design and strive to create that piece that visually represents what your mind is looking for. "Realize your Vision". I am always open to the opportunity to work on a new project that inspires me. I am available to help you with all of your Graphic Design needs. Feel free to contact me here.....

Rock Star Boot Camp

Working with another fitness boot camp business. They were interested in having custom designs made for shirt their clients could wear to different mud runs they were training for by taking classes. So I combined a bit of the Rock Star logo with the race logo.

First one is the Spartan race. They are know for their spartan helmet. So I put that helmet over the star from the Rock Star logo. The second one was a play on the Gladiator Mud run. Taking out the silhouette of the man and having the star take its place.

PPES Silent Auction Night 2013

Pinnacle Elementary is having their big fund raiser for the year. They wanted to step up the visual quality of their postcard they send out. They previous were only sending out card solely with text. They wanted to grab the attention of the parents visually and hopefully that will translate to more attendance at this amazing event.

The New Kid

Trying out a new idea for a new logo. Inspired by the company name as well as watching my son doing some sidewalk chalk drawings.

Itsy Bitsy Sweets Webpage

I expanded from the logo incorporating the colors to a nice fun, easy to read page.

Itsy Bitsy Sweets

This is a logo and business card idea for a new bakery company opening up in Arizona. The idea is tasty treats that have vegetables added to the recipe to make them great for kids and for parents.

Kieren Memorial Ride

There is an amazing individual that is being remembered for the 3rd year with a bike ride. It started off happening in the spin studio he attended. This is the first year outside and hopefully soon it will become a big well known ride in Arizona. I was inspired by the continued dedication of Jody Stern, my past fitness boss, for the Kieren Williams memorial ride. This was something that popped into my mind. I remember that everyone seemed to say that one of all the many amazing things Kieren was known for, one thing he did was always wearing his red shoes. So I incorporated that in the design. I created a Logo and Flyer. I look forward to creating a website as well.

Pinnacle Peak Elementary

Working with the PPES PTO on some graphic design projects for new parent orientation information. Took a photo of the mascot and lettering and recreated it so I could use it in print.

Website Design

Creating a website for Qwaltec. The first version was a more traditional set up. The second example was a design that played off of their logo.

GSGG

I had the pleasure of working with a new client that we shall refer to as GSGG.  They create online learning manuals for instruction on subjects such as communication, satellites and technology. GSGG wanted to take their manuals to a new level of visual presentation to help attract higher end clients themselves. My job was to create the look and feel for one such manual. Starting with a power point main page and content page. Then continuing the design for an html version. Here are a few of the images that I presented.

Trift Trader

I have been working with Jeff of Trift Trader in San Diego to come up with a new design for the awning of his Pacific Beach location. The awning that exists is already red and he wanted to keep that bold color. He also wanted to have the whole banner use the colors of his logo, red, yellow black. I had to find ways to have his logo pop since it already had a lot of red in it so I introduced white as well.. Here are the two ideas we were working with. I also had to recreate his logo in illustrator since he was not able to provide me with it.

Blog Headers

Just trying to pretty up my blogs. Creating some custom headers for each one. Here are some of them

CopperSun Reality

This is the current design for a postcard to help drum up some business. This is my hand drawn cartoon, colored up and made pretty. She wanted a nice and clean design with a nice cartoon representing how home owners might feel due to current economic times.

Cat People

Here is my design for a logo for a company that is starting off providing sharp outfits attached to collars for cats. And they wanted variations for when they expanded out to selling toys, posting pictures, videos, etc.

Boot Camp Hair Dresser Challange

Impact Boot Camp is really working hard on setting up various programs to get new clients into its training program. First flier is to try to get parents to join by giving free sports camp for the kids. The second was designed to get salons in to workout. A biggest loser type set up to get the coworkers competing a little bit. And the last flier was to give to all those getting the GroupOn or LivingSocial deals to see the benefits of signing up early in the trial period.

BootCamp at San Tropez Apartments

Impact Boot Camp is expanding it service. Working with the San Tropez Apartment community to bring boot camp fitness programs to their front door. No excuses now.

Impact Bootcamp New Direction

The owner of Impact Bootcamp wanting to try a new direction with his marketing materials so I came up with these. There are two versions on the door hanger. The owner loved the one on the far right but in order to make printing more affordable I changed it up to the middle version so they could print 3 wide versus 2.

Smithsonian omBooks for Apple devices

It has been a pleasure working with Oceanhouse Media to help with graphics on some of their new Smithsonian omBooks for Apple devices. I prepared all the art work to be used in the book as well as designed the front covers you see below. This is an on going partnership and look forward to working on some more quality children's titles.

Female Plumber

Sounded like a new idea to me. A client wanted a cartoon done of her to be the logo or start of a logo for her new business having to do with Plumbing.

Business Card Impact

The owner of Impact Boot Camp came back to me with a need to add to the graphic design projects I have done for his company. He was in need of his own business card.
